Thank you for visiting.I began painting in my 40s, a late start which may be the result of my high school art teacher who was amused by my lack of talent--probably because talent back then was defined by the ability to draw or paint realistically. Well, I still can't draw, and as you can see in the painting below, from March 1998, years later I still couldn't paint either, to say the least. So I spent eight years doing a few hundred mostly Really Bad Paintings in watercolor until 2006 when I switched to abstract acrylic and started finishing a fair number of paintings that I liked.
The paintings in the Acrylic Gallery are mostly in the order they were completed; all of the geometric paintings were done with fluid acrylics. In early 2014, I went back to watercolor, this time on yupo; in the Watercolor Gallery, any painting described as "Watercolor with Acrylic" is mostly watercolor with a small amount of acrylic.
